All About Truck Racing!

In this blog post, we discuss our recent trip to watch a truck we sponsor compete in a truck racing competition! Click this article to read more.

Truck racing in the UK is becoming incredibly popular very quickly. It’s a full weekend of racing where you can watch not only trucks; but all makes, models and sizes of vehicle race throughout the weekend! The British Truck Racing Championship (BTRC) is the main championship on the truck racing calendar.

Truck Racing originally started in America in 1979, and a few years later in 1984 The British Truck Racing Association was formed and has been the mainstay ever since. Championship wise it is split into 2 divisions:

· Division 1 has the more advanced machines with bespoke suspension systems and braking mechanics.

· Division 2 is more so production-based trucks.

Both divisions take part in the same race, which causes as much carnage as you can imagine. The highest place from each division will be considered finishing first. Divisions 1 & 2 race against each other but not for championship points! To give a real-life example, John Bowler is in division 2 and finishes 3rd overall but 1st and 2nd are in division 1, this means Mr Bowler has come first in his division 2 race.

In the image shown, you can see the truck that we sponsor, Bowler Racing in Division 2. You can see our logo on the NS and OS passenger door! What makes this truck a standout is the massive Union Jack paint job on it.

You may not be a truck racer yet, however, trucks do need new parts from time to time due to general wear – this is where we come in! Here at Truckspares365, we provide a whole range of different truck parts just waiting for you to browse! If you have any more questions, feel free to give us a call on 01772 698788.
